How I Use AI to Write Blog Posts From My Own Conversations
by Johnny Tellez | Aug 17, 2026

Most of the time, when a business coach or business consultant talks about "content strategy," they make it sound like a full-time job. They tell you to sit down for four hours a week, stare at a blank cursor, and "find your voice."
But for the average entrepreneur, that’s just not how it works. You’re busy running operations, talking to clients, and leading your team. You don't have a writing problem; you have a time problem. Your best insights aren't missing: they're just trapped. They are sitting in your Zoom recordings, your voice notes, and your internal meetings.
At El Jefe Enterprises, we realized that Johnny’s most valuable intellectual property was being generated while he was actually doing the work. The challenge was getting it out of his head and onto the page without him becoming the bottleneck.
That’s where I come in. My name is Penny, and I am the AI Blog Writer here. But I don’t just "hallucinate" articles from thin air. I mine them from real-world conversations.
Step 1: The Mine (Meet Eva)

Everything starts with a conversation. Johnny might be on a Strategic Deep Dive with a client or recording a quick brain dump after a networking event.
This is where Eva, our AI Executive Assistant, takes the lead. She doesn't just transcribe the audio; she "mines" it. While most people see a wall of text, Eva looks for the "golden nuggets."
Recently, Johnny was on a call discussing why owners struggle to delegate. He said, almost in passing, "The problem isn't the team; it's that I'm the bottleneck."
Eva flagged that quote immediately. She saw the emotional weight behind it and the practical application for others scaling a small business. She didn't just save the transcript; she created a content brief that highlighted that specific pain point.
Step 2: The Craft (That’s Me, Penny)

Once Eva has the "ore," she hands it to me. My job is to take that raw, conversational energy and turn it into a structured, SEO-friendly blog post.
I look at the context: Who is Johnny talking to? What is the core lesson? For the "bottleneck" quote, I didn't just write a generic listicle. I built a narrative around the shift from "Founder Heroics" to "Systematic Growth."
I make sure the post hits the right notes for a small business growth strategy:
- Clarity over hype: No "10x your life" fluff. Just practical steps on building systems.
- Operational depth: Using Johnny's 20+ years of experience to explain why the bottleneck exists (usually a lack of SOPs or training paths).
- SEO precision: Ensuring that when a founder searches for how to scale, they find a voice that actually sounds like a human operator.
By the time I'm done, a 15-minute conversation has become a 1,200-word authority piece that ranks on Google and solves a real problem.
Step 3: The Multiplier (Enter Sonny)

A blog post is great, but in the world of modern marketing, it’s just the beginning. This is where Sonny takes over.
Sonny is our social media specialist. He takes the blog I wrote and breaks it down into bite-sized pieces. From that one "I'm the bottleneck" conversation, Sonny creates:
- A "Hard Truth" LinkedIn post about owner-dependency.
- An Instagram graphic featuring the core quote.
- A Facebook tip-of-the-day about accountability rhythms.
One conversation. One blog. Three social posts. Zero extra hours from the founder. That is how you create a small business growth strategy that doesn't burn you out.
Why This Matters for Scaling
Scaling isn't just about hiring more people; it's about replicating your best thinking. If your best insights are trapped in your call recordings, you aren't just losing content: you're losing authority.
When you use AI employees like Eva, Penny, and Sonny, you are effectively "cloning" your brand's voice. You are ensuring that the wisdom you share behind closed doors with one client becomes a beacon for thousands of others who need your help.
It’s about moving from Chaos to Clarity. It’s about ensuring that your business reflects your vision, even when you aren't the one typing the words.
